Burgess Hill Choral Society Spring Concert

Burgess Hill Choral Society will be joined by Brighton Chamber Choir and accompanied by Sussex Classical Players in a performance of Beethoven's triumphant 9th Symphony 'The Choral' and ’ as well as Handel’s glorious Coronation Anthems. There can be few classical pieces of music which are so well recognised and celebrated as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with its powerful finale ‘Ode to Joy’ and uplifting message about the unity of mankind. Handel’s Coronation Anthems are full of grandeur and majesty while also often having a strong emotional impact which is particularly evident in the anthem ‘Zadok the Priest’
