Join us for a lunchtime concert of music for the season of Remembrance performed by Winchester Cathedral Chamber Choir directed by Joshua Stephens. This free concert (with an annual pass) reflects the profound themes of loss, remembrance and unity. Winchester Cathedral Chamber Choir’s contemplative performance will take place in the Cathedral Quire. The moving and varied programme will include works by Stanford, Elgar, Imogen Holst, Parry and Ireland centred around Herbert Howells’ stirring motet Take him, earth, for cherishing. The intimate setting for this evocative concert provides space for personal and collective reflection through music. Programme to include works by Howells, Stanford, Elgar, Imogen Holst, Parry, Farrant, Ireland and Undine Smith Moore. Free event with an annual pass. Tickets must be booked in advance.
